CORE Phase I - July 2010

What a group of Characters! We've got singers, actors (as you can see on some of the pics later on), rising stars, grey wisdom, bad losers, smug winners, humble souls and enthusiastic story tellers! One thing's for sure - We're bound to have fun!

As always, groups had to learn to work together quickly. Time is limited, and opinions plenty. It's all about balance...

Team ERIDU seems happy enough...

Red Rampagers! Taking the bull by the horns!

Some of our aspiring actors in action!

(Who's Martie again?)

"Please Peter! I just need my R16,40! My kids have no bread! Please man!"

"Now listen, last week you were paid too much, but I didn't hear you complain then!"

Several case studies, role plays, debates, discussions and lunches later, there can unfortunately be only one...
TOP TEAM Phase I
The A-Team!
Well done guys!
Well, it's not all fun and games. You guys have your work cut out for you. As you might have noticed already, it's not always easy making the changes you intend to. But you are equipped and energised to make the most of the new skills you've learned. Keep going - I've seen the motivation, the drive and the will to make a difference. Your teams will see it too!
I look forward to meeting with you in the workplace and hearing the success stories! See you soon!

BMS B DEVON VALLEY HOTEL

This is the bunch of special people that made history by being the first BMS 200 group at the AMAZING Devon Valley Hotel! Change is always good, so when we decided to move venues, we were very excited to get the reactions from the learners. Overwhelmingly positive! We trust that the changes made by all the delegates back at work will be met with such enthusiasm!

It wasn't just about the Venue though, as these photos will testify. A lot of intense discussions and hard work made this phase a fun experience!

" YOU SAY WHAT?"

Teamwork was the order of the day. Or was that night..........?

Sometimes though, we also took a break to enjoy the surroundings. And scones.... and lunch....and supper......and more scones........

And then back to more deliberation and emotional learning.

Eventually, once the dust had settled, the points were tallied and the TOP TEAM was determined! Well done to WAKA WAKA! We reckon you deserved it after entertaining us with that dance!!!! Thank you all. See you at work!

CORE B

What an incredible WORLD CUP CORE Programme!!!Over the last month we supported Bafana Bafana. Although they didn't win, they played an incredible part in uniting our country. And there were moments when we believed that they could do it despite the odds.
In the same way, over the last 3 months, DYNA Training has been supporting and encouraging you to think bigger, to grow and to challenge yourself to achieve bigger goals... despite the odds!

In the months ahead, you have the opportunity to inspire your teams to believe in themselves, to grow in confidence and to realise their potential to add value.

Well done and keep going. YOU CAN DO IT! Just because the World Cup is over, doesn't mean that the positive "Gees" has to stop now.

We love you Bafana Bafana! (and Lewis Hamilton isn’t bad either...)

Oh well, it's inevitable that soccer fever will take hold of you, whether you know anything, or everything about the game. So I guess it's only fitting that DYNA doesn't get left behind! Our faces and our office walls can testify to our patriotism.

This has proven to not only be a fun time in South Africa, but also an educational experience. We can now name all 32 World Cup Countries' flags! (Notwithstanding the Slovenians, Slovakians and Serbians obviously having the same flag designer...)

Bafana might be out of the competition, but they sure did us proud. I was somewhat confused in the first half whether they were playing another team at all...

Some more exciting news from the Cape Town Office – Lewis Hamilton's 2008 F1 McLaren was on display at the Black River Park yesterday. There is a small office rivalry between an ardent Lewis Hamilton fan and an ever loyal Michael Schumacher fan. Neither of the true F1 supporters could witness the spectacle of a car yesterday, so being the thoughtful bunch that we are, we took it upon ourselves to get them a photograph.

CORE & BMS Kick-Off

Heads up everyone! We have two programmes kicking-off just after the conclusion of the World Cup. Group Five Mentoring Process

What an exciting two days of learning we had. Well done to all the Group Five Graduates that gave their everything on the first day, and the Mentors who gave their entire Friday. Just by looking at the pics below, you'll see the energy in the room. Thank goodness the effectiveness of the Mentors is not judged by the look of the group - Bafana Bafana shirts and all...

I look forward to visiting you guys back at work to see the results. In the mean time - enjoy the pics!

BMS A 2010 - The Conclusion

This is such a telling picture of the atmosphere at BMS A 2010. Thank you to each person that was willing to participate and share your experiences, wisdom, challenges, successes and stories. As Duncan said on Friday afternoon - you guys learn from one another and teach one another. We simply provide the environment, context and add a little fuel to the fire (or is that charcoal briquettes...?).
Well done to Duncan Laing (Achievement Awards Group) and Ben Oosthuizen (Ecowize) who were voted by the rest of the group as Best Leader and Most Improved Individual respectively. Remember to carry a pen with you when you wear your DYNA Cap as people are known to stop you and ask for autographs!
And of course, we have to congratulate RSG - no, not the radio station, but Redee - Steadee - Go! With a big Hoo-Haa they walked off with the Top Team Prize. Well done!
A couple of other memories...
Group Scoring - Who's nailing who?
Conflict Resolution? Not yet...
Working it, but still not resolved...
Resolved - Smiles all round!
Amigdala moment - stay calm Kurt...
Unfortunately we are not able to post any photographs of the Massive changes you are all making back in the workplace, but we trust that those are happening daily. Enjoy applying yourself and making a difference in your environment!
